Entrepreneurs conduct business on the basis of mutual trust, which is essential for carrying out business activities. However, this trust is sometimes abused, leading to serious disputes between business partners. Clearly defining mutual rights and obligations in a written agreement can help prevent such disputes. Therefore, it is advisable to conclude a written agreement in order to protect one's interests.

This case concerned a client who needed assistance with the purchase of real estate. Unfortunately, the legal status of the property was complicated, as shares in the property belonged to numerous heirs and the inheritance proceedings had not yet been completed. In addition, the client intended to purchase only one of the plots forming part of the property. Another issue was that the co-owners (heirs) could not agree on how the property should be managed, including whether it should be sold.

Therefore, it is important for a taxpayer to be represented by an Attorney-at-Law who can objectively assess the situation, identify potential issues, develop an appropriate strategy together with the client, and communicate effectively with the tax authority.
